  2. Though Albert King is best remembered for Born Under A Bad Sign, I’ll Play the Blues For You, his classic album for Stax, deserves some re-evaluation.

  4. Albert King remaster worth the price for the alternate take of I'll Play the Blues for You, but beyond that probably among Alberts' best studio albums.a great CD. There are a couple things though that at the time were brilliant are now annoying, like the fake live audience on one track. Overall if you like the Blues this is a good purchase/5().

  5. Along with Born Under a Bad Sign, this is is one of Albert King's best albums, but more than that seminal debut I'll Play the Blues for You finds itself under the funk spell. Electric piano, wah-wah guitar, funky horns, you know the deal. Rather than the M.G.'s we have here a combination of The Memphis Horns, the Bar-Kays, and the Isaac Hayes Movement.
